A question to anyone who's been to Japan. Hirayasumi is set in a suburb of Tokyo and the streets round the main character's home seem to be largely car free , they walk most places. Are there areas like this ? It does make the whole place look vaguely paradisiacal

Just watched the last episode of Hirayasumi. It's a lovely joyful series. Each 15 min epi is a perfect little story. The whole series is filled with gentle wistful longing & with people just being good to one another. Special mention for Nana Mori as Natsumi who's wonderfully awkward & endearing
