It’s been a week since I deleted Meta, X and TikTok and I’m not missing it. I hear my partner on his phone scrolling and it all sounds like annoying sounds to me. Given the amount of time I used to spend on social media, I’m surprised I am not missing it.

I find so much wisdom from @luvvie.bsky.social and her newsletter is the one thing that keeps me sane. “This is about being STRATEGIC with your energy. You cannot carry every burden. You cannot be in every fight yet. You cannot show up for your people if you're drowning in everyone else's mess.”

I’m telling myself that knowledge is powers, and knowing more about my body is how I prevent problems (heart disease resulted in my dad passing at 72). But the heart biomarkers from my @functionhealth.bsky.social has me a little emotional. I have work to do.

I am spending the day doing good vs watching the news. Headed to donate blood. Thankful that I can finally do that as a gay male.

With the “praise Trump” message as TikTok resumed, I have removed all social apps but this and LinkedIn (cause job). I’m bummed because I get updates from extended family and info on new restaurants and local events on those places. But I feel I can live with these losses.
