I'm curious about if Air Riders is going to get updates, considering the direct had footage that showed split-screen online functionality that is completely absent in the game.

kirby air riders is under 80 on metacritic. hell yeah this game is going to be so peak

games are art, and games should be more widely accepted as art, but i feel like most people shouting that games are art don't treat games like art. so much of the conversation is just people trying to validate gaming as a hobby because it shares traits with more traditional art

there should be a game that puts a question mark after one or two of it's settings options just to fuck with people

Team City Trial is going to be so peak. It'll fix one of my problems with stadiums, that being how you don't really get to compete against everyone you were playing with during the rest of city trial.

Fighter is actually nuts for PvP in city trial if you have enough speed and handling to keep up with someone.

While I appreciate how fast you can re-que in Air Riders City Trial, I really wish you could see the stats and results of all other players.

I never played the first Air Ride but Air Riders is incredibly fun. It also feels like there's a whole lot of mechanical complexity despite the control scheme. That alongside the randomness of each City Trial round means I'm going to be playing this a lot!

my favorite machine in air ride so far is the Battle Chariot. PvP in City Trial is sooo fun and I love ramming into people

Kirby 64 is kinda meh but Miracle Matter is a incredibly well designed boss fight. Probably my favorite Kirby boss fight tbh.

Replayed Kirby Super Star and it was better than I remember. Probably my top 1 favorite Kirby game now (previously RtDL) Great Cave Offensive is actually incredible.

people love saying 'monster hunter hasn't gotten easier you've just gotten better' and then you boot up one of the PSP entries and realize upon getting sent to the moon by a low tier shitmon that not only have they gotten easier but they have also literally made you worse

when the programmers settle for a quick hack instead of perfectly elegant code, you may be tempted to think it's because they were on a deadline and wanted to move on to more important things, but no. it's actually because they hate consumers and love artificial difficulty

I really liked Silksong. Act 1 and Act 2 are near 10/10s for me. However, Act 3 was much worse imo. I also loved almost every Act 1/2 boss but only liked a few from Act 3.

I wish I liked the other crests in silksong, but the normal one (hunter's crest) is the only one I've really liked using. It has the best feeling pogo to me and I love the angle the dash attack sends you at, either setting you up to be aggressive with a pogo or evasive.

Sinner's Road is such an incredible area, I wish it were a tad bit longer though

my hot take for the day is that there's so such thing as objectively bad game design. the goal of game design is to shape the player's experience, and even mean, tedious or un-fun elements can be tools to create the desired experience.

Unironically think Savage Beastfly is a great boss. It's one of the best summoner bosses I've fought in a video game. Might be my favorite boss so far in Silksong (fantastic game btw)

Ngl World might be my new least favorite Mario Kart. The 24 racers is what really does it. It feels so uninteractive playing locally with 1-2 other people. Interactions are so much less impactful now to accommodate for 24 racers, and I rarely even get to interact with the people I'm playing with.

why is there no Attack on Titan fighting game it'd be perfect for one

see the cool thing about art is that it can make you feel emotions so I think if video games have to strive to make the only emotion you feel in gameplay be having fun then that is bad games that strive to eliminate any minor source of frustration in the gameplay are boring

After watching a lot of Donkey Kong Bananza gameplay I still don't think I get it. I don't personally care for destructible stuff, and I'm not sure what else is so appealing about it. I do like 3D platformers, Donkey Kong, and hear a lot of praise for it. I would happily try it if it wasn't $70.

Watching urchin back and rly every single change I see is good, new sponges, wider map, expanded flank, insane really. They definitely learned since launch.

My dream game is a slightly more polished Monster Hunter Dos with Gen 1 Maps and Frontier Hardcores.
