I think the greatest trick for getting good at creative work i know is - finish making as many mediocre things as possible. Just finish stuff, again and again. Share it or don’t, but put a bow on it, put it aside, make the next thing, repeat.

I think if you’re going to make broad declarative statements about a profession or craft, you should demonstrate it in your craft. If you cannot do that I don’t want to hear it.

Self employed creatives in the US rely deeply on the USPS. We have been sounding the alarm bells about this for years. UPS and FedEx currently set prices to compete with the low prices of the USPS. Imagine what would happen without that baseline to keep them in check. This matters to everyone.
