At this point, I think we can call Port Macquarie for the Liberals. The Nationals last gained a seat in *2013* in NSW (state level), and since then they've lost multiple to independents, some to Labor, 1 to the Greens, and now 1 to the Liberals as well.

It's been ages since I last did a thread, so I figured it would be a good time to write one on the Werribee by-election! On paper, it's an unassuming seat held on over 10%, but this by-election could very well change everything by next year's state election. 1/23 π§΅

The SA Liberals have been going through it recently, and there's no wonder why Labor is cruising through SA polls despite going backwards across the rest of the country. At this point, Labor could realistically gain Sturt despite a a swing towards the L/NP across the country.

How the social media ban harms children
The governmentβs plan to prevent under 16s using social media will not protect them β instead it will cut off many vulnerable and isolated children from vital online support communities.

Sam Hibbins, who has been a state Greens MP for Prahran for 10 years (and just recently became an independent due to him having inappropriate relations with a staffer), has resigned from parliament. Definitely keep an eye on this seat for Macnamara (federal Greens target).
