Welcome to the 9th Day of Vampire October! Today I’m yapping about Angel/Angelus from Buffy! He’s a tortured soul, he’s broody, and if you get him off he becomes evil. An interesting character for redemption in his own show.

Vampire October Day 8! Lazlo Cravensworth! What We Do in the Shadows was one of the best tv series. I was so sad to see it end last year. I love this character, he’s so goofy and quotable and I identify with him a lot. He loves his wife so much.

And volunteer! Staffing a con usually comes with nice perks like early room booking and free regular badge. It usually doesn’t take too much time out of your control weekend. I’ve been able to attend everything I want to and manage the dealers den at AO.

Day 7 of Vampire October! Rosalie Cullen! Honestly she deserved so much better than to be the pretty girl Meyers hated on so we would like the main character more. Her backstory and personality is so much more interesting than Bella.

Vampire October Day 6! Louis from Interview with a Vampire! Louis is an interesting character. And a narrator you can’t trust. His struggles to accept his new nature and the fact that he finds pleasure in being a predator while holding onto his human morals is a fun read/watch.

I ended up on swifty TikTok and the comments are absolutely killing me. "9th grade slam poetry", [a photo of boiled chicken], "album for cop wives", "If Taylor wrote this that's bad, if ChatGPT wrote this that's worse, and if Travis wrote this I'm actually kind of proud of him".

Vampire October Day 5! Marceline from Adventure Time. I could have a spin off show of just her. She has great dynamics with all the characters, and her ability to just eat the color red and not have to drink blood is a fun play on vampire abilities.

Day 4 of Vampire October! Today it’s Father Pruitt from Midnight Mass! Midnight Mass never mentions the word “vampire”, but they’re drinking blood and can’t step into sunlight, so. On any rewatch of Midnight Mass he’s my favorite character to watch.

Day 3 of Vampire October! Today I am talking about the family of vampires in The Little Vampire. I would watch this habitually during The Thirteen Nights of Halloween programming. This was such a fun movie premise, a young boy meets a family of vampires with one’s his “age” and helps them.

Day 2 of Vampire October! Couldn’t wait to talk about Spike! I love Spike. He’s my favorite character on Buffy. He just wants to brawl and I love that for him. He goes through the most change on the show. From Big Bad to Uncle of the Scooby Gang, and realizing that he needs to change.

I‘m following through on this! First up is the legend himself: Dracula! Bram Stoker wasn’t the first one to write a sexy vampire, but he’s who started all the original tropes. Dracula is rich, opulent, and thinks your man is stupid. (And if he’s a man in a vampire story, he probably is stupid!)

I didn’t like this right after drawing but the more I look at it the more I think I did better than I initially thought.
