The DIAMOND project has made an important milestone: the first draft release of six open integrated assessment models (IAMs) that are emblematic in both scientific and policy processes. Now is the chance to contribute and provide feedback!

The top 1% global wealth share could rise from 38.5% today to 46% in 2050 if the wealthiest entirely own the new low-carbon infrastructure. Conversely, if this is financed by a tax on the top 1% and then owned by governments or not-for-profits, the top 1% wealth share could drop to 26%.

A rather brief thought on a huge aspect of COP29 in Baku. - climate finance is a win-win - sparing state aid & private sector flows - biased sustainable finance metrics used in investments - (IAM) science can help but must tackle its own biases
