Diesel and petrol cars are disappearing rapidly from Norwegian roads. In just a decade, electric vehicles have grown to become the largest drivetrain/fuel type in the Norwegian passenger car fleet.

One thing that I now realize is that I’ve only owned one sedan (the Audi, my first car) and everything since then has had a hatch (wagon, hatchback, or SUV). In the US, that was no easy feat and definitely went against the grain!

I am the consummate car guy. I dedicated my life to creating and adoring them. But I have also learned that life is better when you don’t need one. I’d rather take the bike and/or the train and I love living in a walkable city. It’s not about “taking away your car”, it’s about giving you a choice.
