This could seem trivial when our comrades from Spiders or Kylotonn have to fight against the closure of their studio and loss of their jobs, but these situations share a common thread: they emerge when bosses decides to do whatever they want without taking their workers' opinions into consideration.

It is not acceptable that an employer would decide to force their way through without negotiating in good faith with the legitimate representatives of their workers, even less so on a subject which agitates society as much as this, because of the social, labour and ecological questions it raises.

Eventually, management unilaterally decided to start a pilot phase and simply informed the CSE, while conditioning negotiations on a framework for AI use to maintaining that pilot phase.

The workers' representatives committee (CSE) repeated over and over, through decisions voted in official meetings, that management should negotiate on this topic with the STJV, but none of the changes made byt the company tackled the main issue: the lack of proper "social dialogue".

🇬🇧⚖️The STJV is suing Amplitude Studios, which is trying to force its way through on generative AI without discussing with unions. Since January, management has been changing their AI plans to avoid negotiating with our union, then plans to start a pilot phase in May⤵️

This liquidation is such a waste. We hope our games will still be enjoyed, but we would like gamers to avoid giving their money to Nacon. We will do everything in our power to hold the heads of Spiders and Nacon accountable. Our support goes to everyone. The fight will go on✊

71 workers will see their job, career and income slashed by Spiders and Nacon executives' incompetence and malice. Because everything points to this liquidation being premeditated by Nacon, who created its conditions and never really tried to save the studio.
