personally, this sort of active "observation, learning, and adjustment" process is why I enjoy playing difficult games, rather than the frequently assumed reasons of "bragging rights" or "figurative masochism" dunno if it applies to other people who like hard games but I can imagine it does, maybe?

I think it's possible to replay those older titles and still have a good time. Like, OG Yakuza 1 and 2? The Judgment games? Those are some of my personal favorites and I'll happily revisit them, and people should definitely revisit their faves as well. As for *new* releases... yeah I'm good lol
