Fun fact about Dynasty Warriors on PS2: they each had an Xtreme Legends "expansion pack" that added new characters, weapons & stages. You can "combine" base game + expansion content by swapping discs, but the expansion disc already has all content 🤡 You can just enable them with a patch on PCSX2!

50 hours later, I've reached 83% of Silksong and I feel done. Got the achievement of having all maps, what's left are several brutal bosses. I also never killed The Radiance in Hollow Knight, boss fights are my least favorite part of metroidvânias. Still, both are fantastic games, I had a blast! 🫡

The attention to detail in Sky 1st Chapter is really something else. Even the silent NPCs have their own little narratives. Here's an example. In Rolent there are two NPCs that you can't talk to: an old woman that is always reading by herself and a boy that you first see waving at some birds. 🧵

I started playing The Invisible Guardian, the visual novel about a being a spy in 1939, during Japan's occupation of China. It's interesting how we're used to seeing Hitler in pop culture, but you rarely see Hirohito in this sort of stuff... I wonder if this is why the game is so region-locked...

PLATO mainframes were amazing, like a mythical space-age technology far ahead of anything else. You had people playing complex online multiplayer RPGs before Space Invaders and the Atari 2600 were even released.
