Footballers should want to be a part of Manchester United’s history. Not Manchester United being a part of Theirs.

Ticket resale laws: Football not part of government ticket crackdown
The government has announced legislation to outlaw the sale of tickets to sports events at inflated prices - but it will not cover football.

With England and Scotland guaranteed going to the World Cup and Wales and Ireland with excellent chances, there’s potential for a Mike Bassett-meeting-the-home-nations-at-the-airport moment at JFK

There should be mass resignations from Labour now. Unions need to show anti-racist backbone and pull funds as soon as it’s possible. Kill the fascist party masquerading as something from the left. They are utterly vile.

If Dickie Tice suggests that the Home Secretary would be welcomed into Reform, what more evidence is needed of Labour’s lurch (collapse) to the right?

It sounds odd, but if you're looking for a bit of faith in society, read the RAIB and AAIB reports into train and plane crashes. Reading how comprehensively they analyse the incidents, and the lessons learnt, is strangely reassuring.

The right thinks the left will fight to protect Bill Clinton. The actual left thinks the middle will fight to protect Bill Clinton. But I want to believe — tonight as winter creeps closer, and even the tiniest glimmer of hope is impossibly precious — that nobody would protect Bill Clinton.

People on the Left often complain about the BBC being too right wing, while people on the Right accuse it of left wing bias. Now, to me that says it must be fairly balanced. And YES - I have a show on BBC Sounds. But this isn't about me, and I genuinely think it would be a tragedy to lose the BBC.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. If the Right think the BBC is too Left wing, And the Left think the BBC is too Right wing, then it’s operating correctly by being impartial.

Dominic Cummings, in an earlier incarnation, ran a secretly-funded 'think tank' dedicated to attacking the Beeb while Robbie Gibb glided effortlessly from GBNews to the BBC & started lecturing staff on impartiality. Imagine (cos you'll have to) how the 'left-wing' equivalent would be reported.

In 'How They Broke Britain', I do a pretty good job of detailing the depth & breadth of Tufton Street/Tory/Murdoch/Mail attempts to scupper the BBC, even as I castigate some presenters for going too easy on precisely the people who seek the Corporation's abolition. But I should have done more. 1/2
