Bloomtown is a flawed gem but how much its flaws matter is up to you. For me, the charm of this town & the Persona-like gameplay far outweighed the blemishes. Unclear wording makes some things obtuse, worsened by the sting of missable quests, but the joy of this adventure isn't one to sleep on.

VoM is a step forward for the franchise, but JRPGs have taken many more steps since its last entry. The visuals & plot entice at first, but the story walks in the shadow of giants like FFX. Combat clicks, but shallow side quests & exploration leave it in the fun but middling tier of JRPG popcorn
