A couple days after getting our home battery, with backup power provision, installed, we now have a very convenient power outage. That's a nice coincidence -- it happens on average once every two years. So I tested the backup facility. Looks like I'll have to call the installer. 🤣

This one, from the "heel" of the Italian "boot", was also quite nice. Full-bodied, fruity, with spicy notes. It didn't last two days.

This one will be saved for a special occasion. 😍

Proof of concept: Today, with my back out, I lifted 3 pairs of socks, only to put them in my shopping trolley. Next to a 5.3 gallon canister of petroleum, which I had put in there earlier. So yes, it looks funny when I get up from a chair, and I walk a bit crooked, but everything still works.

For the want of a white Christmas, which we haven't had in 31 years now, I guess I'll have to look at this one from early 2007.

We had a li'l party yesterday. One of our guests were our Polish neighbours, Jarek and Sandra. Jarek thinks he is pretty tall at 6'3. Then our grandsons of 17 and 15 arrived. The youngest is a wee bit taller than Jarek. The oldest of the two is 6'6. He called them "the two towers" 😆
