Very promising @christophehansen.bsky.social stresses again the importance to introduce the same animal welfare requirements for products produced inside the EU and products coming from third countries. Crucial for animal welfare and key for a level playing field for EU farmers.

The proposed CO2 tax in this study can reduce agricultural emissions in 🇩🇪 by about 22.5%.💪🧑‍🌾 The tax also generates an annual revenue of 8.2 billion EUR (this is without the savings in healthcare)🤑🤯 If implemented smartly the tax could als have a progressive effect on the distribution of income 📈💰
