I somewhat disagree that nothing UNC does in the tournament can justify their inclusion. The flaw in UNC's resumé is their 1-12 record in Quad 1. When I ask why that is so much more important than sterling record in other games, the answer is that it proves they can't beat tourney quality teams.

With the exception of Xavier over WVU, the field was entirely predictable by WAB for at-large selection, right? That is amazing progress, honestly. Now just stop with the injury stuff and we have a good system. (Easy solution: limit the committee to just bracketing the teams that qualify by WAB.)

Yes the ACC's weak. Still, Duke's current four-game run on offense is extraordinary: 1.42 points per possession. There are teams in the league (e.g., Clemson, Syracuse) that have never scored at this level in a single ACC game.

Biggest issue for Michigan right now — by far — is the downturn in three-point shooting. Got the highest volume of clean catch & shoot looks they’ve gotten in weeks and still struggled. Really limits their ceiling. Huge shot from Nimari, obviously, in a game where not much went right.

In winning at Purdue 94-84, Wisconsin shot 20-of-22 on its 2s: 90.9 percent. At a minimum it's the best 2-point shooting game by any Big Ten program in the KenPom era. A better question is whether it's the best 2-point effort of any team since 1997. Badgers, I salute you.
