With the prospect of air travel moving even further beyond my financial grasp, what is France like for holidays? In my head it’s either v expensive or camping in Normandy. Can anyone recommend somewhere that’s reasonably priced, affordable in terms of meals out and has both culture and a beach.

I have to be honest. This is a terrible name for a museum. I’m sure it’s supposed to dredge up thoughts of yomping in the Falklands but for me, my marines experience was moving into badly maintained married quarters, camping in proffed arctic sleeping bags and talking of camp…

Got off the train only to find Victoria Station being evacuated so walked to Sloane Square to get a tube. So many posh shops that half of them don’t say what they are. Feeling decidedly more plebeian for having been here!

Mischa has been upstairs most of the evening but he often does this about this time most days. He wanders in, glares at me and does a little grumpy miaow. In short, it’s bedtime! 🙄

Having an allergic reaction to something on the train. Coughing, eyes and nose streaming suddenly and badly. Bloke across the aisle looked like I’d vomited on his shoes 🤣

All team meeting today so we did an intro to the new exhibition, Easter sessions and relaxed visits for staff.

Popped in to see our newly re-opened civic museum. Great collections and although the interpretation wasn’t quite complete in all areas, no one seemed bothered and everyone was having a lovely time. Not sure what that says about museum text but it was great to see the place nice and busy.

Well this is something nice for once!

Oh god it’s language school season. Just accused of having a huff because I moved rather than share a nearly 2 hour journey with bored teens who’ve been in London all. Made that mistake the other week when the little darlings were standing on seats and playing online games with no earphones.

Oops just tackled a young lad about playing his phone out loud. It wasn’t him! He took it very politely and I still can’t tell who the real culprit is but they deserve very bad karma.

How’s your #Caturday? This one had to be rescued from his own garden! First a ginger cat peered over the fence and then a little black and white one sat on the gate. I was busy laughing at Mischa until I realised he’d retreated behind a shrub and was trying to soothe himself by making biscuits. 😢😤
