Alas I am a prissy princess and I like being centrally located and able to walk everywhere (To the west of me is Kitsilano, Mt Pleasant is east, north is downtown, and south... well, I don't usually go south but I could if I wanted to)

I get the strong impression they would oppose a third storey if it wasn't already part of the original zoning. Pretty rich that they include the budget as a concern, then propose using more land ($$$), relocating existing park amenities ($), and building an elevated walkway ($$)

Bike / Park Oriented Development (BPOD?) ! A motion from OneCity councilor @lucymaloney.bsky.social aims to end the apartment ban next to bike streets and parks! We need liveable density on quiet leafy streets. Don’t like arterial density? Want alternatives to towers? Speak in support sept 17

This is a thing I think we societally need to come to terms with. The decisions made by the previous generation often did not come from a place of careful consideration and it needs to be ok to change them.

The contentious Larch & 2nd bldg (rental on vacant church property) w/ 68 homes in Green. Red are new houses built within the last 2-3 years. Yellow are just finished construction on empty lots (single homes) and gut & renovations on single homes (probably w/ suites). Only the green is rental.
