I kept seeing young artists say their big dream was to pitch to an indie development exec (which is still an oxymoron to me). for me, someone with feet in both the industry & indie worlds, the whole appeal of indie is if you have an idea for a show, you can just start making it.

It's genuinely gross to see Netflix supporting a studio that makes AI shorts rather than funding their own animated films and shows that they were doing at the start of the decade and having laid off many creative people. It's such a cynical move if you ask me.

Within a 2-Month Span, we've gotten (or will be getting) not 1...not 2....but 3 Blu-ray releases of Paramount cartoons. Also, to the lost media crowd, you should absolutely be wowed by the Famous Studios Champion collection, long-lost cartoons were found....

I don't get to play many games these days, but I had to make an exception for the new shooter, "MOUSE: P.I. for Hire". It's a lot of fun so far! Had to do a little doodle of the protag, Jack Pepper.

If only these people at least used their skills to either leak completed films that were tax write-offs (i.e. Batgirl), and/or old legacy content that big conglomerates are refusing to do anything with (*cough*Disney and their ~300 shorts that have yet to be added on its streaming service*cough*).

These bats look more Mickey Mouse-like than all the actual mice characters in Mouse: P.I. for Hire. And yes, I recommend this game.

Adding onto this, it's amazing to remember that these shorts were meant to be shown in front of a movie and then never seen again. It speaks to the passion for the art form these great animators had that they packed so much love and skill into what could've been disposable.

Holy crap, Make Mine Music is 80 years old, and still not on Disney+. Apparently this is related to the music rights to Peter and the Wolf and NOT due to the 'Martins and the Coys' segment (which Disney has long removed on US releases and absolutely will again if this film ever comes to Disney+).
