Spent Thanksgiving holiday in Wales. No turkey but the views were nice.

I loved AMERICAN MYSTIC. Like FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS in a world filled with magic and demons and monsters. A great plot enhanced by brilliant writing and the political insights are biting and provocative. One of my favorite books of the year.

Quick but fun NCA- glad to see some amazing friends and scholars. Now, off to home!

A couple of you have asked what length an SF novel should be. Here are SFWA's guidelines for the Nebula Awards: 1. Novel: Over 40,000 words 2. Novella: 17,500 - 40,000 words 3. Novelette: 7,500 - 17,500 words 4. Short story: Under 7,500 words Hope that helps.
