This is such a good book and very well illustrated It was written in part by Yoshinari Yonehara who has a PhD in animal behaviour who has done work with Pokémon on games since Pokémon Legends: Arceus Get this book. It's fantastic.

Two tropes I really dislike in fiction: 1. Killing a character, making the audience mourn, and then reviving them because the writer ran out of ideas. 2. Mind control. It’s a cheap way to turn a hero into a villain. It’s far more interesting when they slowly flip for personal, human reasons.

Goku and Bulma met a sea turtle while traveling and Goku wanted to carry him back to the sea. He fought a hungry beast man and defeated him. The trio went to the beach and met Master Roshi aka the Turtle Hermit. He gave Goku the Flying Nimbus and the duo gained another Dragon Ball.
