Well, I didn’t get done I time for FO Friday, but I’m so close! Still think the yellow is paler in the pic, but that’s alright. The way this purple has faded in & out to black at the edge has me enchanted. I don’t have any parasols w black detailing, so I must choose between yellow and purple.

Three days on that #yarn 🧶 cake no longer has a center. It looks like it’s been cored quite precisely. This yellow is brighter in person, but I didn’t want to manipulate the image too much. Bet it looks brighter when surrounded by darker colors. Hope you’re having a good weekend. #crochet #WiP

I received these glass cat eye #beads today for this parasol ☂️ Usually I’d #crochet beads on, but these must be sewn. This is my oldest parasol at 3 years. I don’t think I have another over a year old. I hope these lovely beads will add the right spice to this creamsicle-esque #parasol.

Getting in just under the line for #wipWednesday I frogged 🐸 back to orange and have reworked this future-parasol to my liking. There are far fewer bubbles at the edge and it’s laying in a way that makes me believe in it again. Now I need to write down what I changed… #crochet 🧶 #NeverGiveUp

#WiPWednesday & the literal mess I hide when I take pics. 3 future parasol #crochet 🧶 doilies are visible as well as the yarn cakes they all come from. I had to frog 🐸 a round last night because sometimes I can’t count, so those are the strands on top. I’m equally proud and ashamed of this mess.

Finished the last #parasol ☂️ & instantly began again. I’m using a much larger hook this time - 2.75mm - as a treat. This pattern features a series of concentric peacock-feather-eyes. There must be a better way to say that. Once again, this is my first time w this pattern and #yarn 🧶 #crochet #wip

Green with envy. I’m surprised by how much the corner increases look like feathers. Really like that. The solid columns around them will end up looking like a flower. That sort of positive space v negative space is something I seek in fiber art. #Crochet 🧶 #FiberArt #NegativeSpace #PosiitveSpace

Tonight I’m almost thru the blues. Woo! Recently started using Scheepjes Cotton Whirl & learned their yarns are processed w recycled water. Cool! Then that used water is 95% recycled again. The remaining 5% is treated w yogurt, manure, & molasses to make it safer to return to the environment.
