We acknowledge the slight reduction in child poverty however, figures remain significantly above the interim target. @ScotGov must do more to prioritise ending child poverty to meet targets. Too many children in Scotland are still growing up in poverty 👇

‼️ Today MPs will vote on amendments made to the NI Bill by
@houseoflords.parliament.uk
which would exempt most social care orgs from devastating increases. We urge MPs to share the evidence we & our members have provided & stand up for our sector.

We're concerned by UK GOV's announcement yesterday on disability & sickness benefits & the impact of proposed changes on children & families living with a disability. Government has a primary responsibility to do no harm:

we're continuing our campaign to
#EndSchoolMealDebt.
Every child has the right to food and to realise this right means ending school meal debt and hidden hunger in Scotland for good.

⚠️Tomorrow
@houseoflords.parliament.uk
will vote on amendments to the eNICs legislation that could lead to exemptions and a review of its impact on our sector. Unless the Bill is changed, the consequences for social care in Scotland and across the UK will be devastating.

NfP social care providers in Scotland face an extra bill of around ÂŁ30 million to cover the NI rate rise & the threshold reduction. Money they do not have, and have no means to raise.
