Taken just a few minutes ago outside the ICE facility in Portland that Trump claims is under siege. My message to Donald Trump is this: we don’t need you here. Stay the hell out of our city.

My office is reaching out to the White House and Homeland Security for more information. We have been provided no information on the reason or purpose of any military mission. There is no national security threat in Portland. Our communities are safe and calm.

The same guy telling you Portland is war-ravaged, told you Mexico was going to pay for the wall and people were eating your pets in Ohio.

When it became obvious that resistance in Chicago would be both strong and peaceful, Trump moved on to Portland, hoping he could provoke unrest and escalate his fascist crackdown.

Worth asking? The US military normally operates overseas with robust intelligence support. How does that work in Portland?
