ULEZ didn’t kill the high street. London’s clean air zone led to increased footfall on Outer London high streets—especially in poorer areas. That’s the upside. The downside? It may be because poorer residents had fewer alternatives. Local economies gained, but social inequalities deepened.

About 50,000 Britons who become disabled or chronically ill will be pushed into poverty because of cuts to incapacity benefit. Govt considering denying incapacity benefit to 18-22 years old. Poverty is a political choice.

This time last year, I was in a job that felt out of step with my values, often feeling distressed. Daily intentional reflection using @actionhappiness.bsky.social calendar helped me reconnect. Now I revisit it with a person-centred lens, gentle, intentional, and grounded in what matters to me.
