Question for ebike enthusiasts - I love biking but I have POTS and view my ebike as a mode of transportation rather than exercise/sport. My old bike (RIP) had cadence sensors, but it seems like all the newer ones have torque and I’m worried they’re more for exercise boys.

City Council was spicy tonight. Despite the interpersonal fireworks, this night will ultimately be remembered as a turning point in Portland’s housing crisis: 12-0 passage of Inner Eastside for All resolution and creation of the Social Housing fund.

The social housing $ and the revolving loan fund cannot be watered down further, they create exponentially more affordable housing via this fund for every dollar invested in it, more than any project we invest in today. This is not an indictment on these projects, this is a realistic analysis.

We’ve hit the “I simply cannot imagine getting out of bed” phase of this whole ordeal, which is fun because I actually need to work some today.

I had just about the best outcome you can have from being hit by a car (no concussion, no broken bones, alive) and it is still a 0/10 experience. Did you know every part of your body could hurt at once? It’s possible and it sucks.

Just got hit by a car biking home from the gym. A woman ran a red light and smashed into me going around 15 mph (according to witnesses). I think I’m ok physically but a wreck emotionally. The woman tried to blame me but there couldn’t have been any more incredible people around.

On April 15, Portland City Council will consider a resolution focused on keeping the Inner Eastside Area Planning project moving forward. This is the resolution passed out of committee on March 12th (unanimously!) with huge support from our membership and coalition in the form of written testimony.
