Today we visited our local National Trust property, Coleton Fishacre, former home of opera impressarios the D'Oyly Cartes. The gardens are in a steep valley that leads down to the sea.

Torbay ring road resembled the seventh circle of hell today. Closure of one of the main routes through Paignton due to a collapsing building by the station and the seafront closure for the airshow exacerbated the already heavy traffic.
