Japan -Tim Drum (1981) #vinyl 5th and last studio album for them as Japan and its there greatest. Self produced along with Steve Nye who helped bring out the unique sound and feel. It hasn’t dated as it sounds like nothing else. Art rock at its finest. Essential

This is brilliant. Their album had been no. 1 in the charts for over a month, having knocked "With the Beatles" off top spot. And they're playing 5th on the bill at a Uni gig where the champagne and buffet are the main attractions. Such innocent times.
