Simply Plural is an accessibility tool and pretending it's not is incredibly insensitive and disrespectful.

As the creator of an accessibility tool the dev does have a responsibility to the community; Yes it's complex, but the least they can do is release the code to help more options become available faster.

I do not think the dev should feel forced to work on something that makes them not have enough time for life. I think there were steps that should have been taken before this point that were not. I think the handling of SP at this point is sketch, including the continued taking of money.

Taken it off the app stores when the project got too big for one person. Taking in volunteers or help when you still had the time or energy for that. Either saying we have two months, or you'll keep paying for the servers as long as people are paying you; not a nebulous "eventually".
