While last year was highly successful personally it was an absolute creative black hole. I'm going to follow my current motivation and hope to start this year off differently by making a #minipainting push and (maybe??) get the majority of my minis painted this year.

I don't generally subscribe to New Years resolutions as their arbitrary nature rarely engenders success, however this year I dedicated myself to finding and displaying grace both to myself and others. It's been a very upstream swim but also one of the most worthwhile internal goals I've set.

Lodoss is my go to show for painting. I can only tell you about a quarter of the plot in a deeply confused manner because it's so background and I'm so focused, but still, really great show. One point I like to make about the Satanic Panic was that it wasn't even necessarily religious. My mom was not a religious woman, but she legitimately believed her coworker abused his wife because he played D&D too much and lost track of reality. Certain "weird" things just made you evil.

This is where the session starts tonight. Inside the Ashen Forge on the plane of fire. The party entered the forge and found a chained primordial fire elemental in the middle of this part (boss room is next).

Rewatching tremors and something just occurred to me. The lifespan of a Graboid is basically the same as an antlion. Like subterranean larva, a cocoon, then the short-lived winged adult to lay more eggs. You could kinda see the shriekers as a pupa/cocoon state,just a lot more aggressive and mobile.
