This is where the session starts tonight. Inside the Ashen Forge on the plane of fire. The party entered the forge and found a chained primordial fire elemental in the middle of this part (boss room is next).

Rewatching tremors and something just occurred to me. The lifespan of a Graboid is basically the same as an antlion. Like subterranean larva, a cocoon, then the short-lived winged adult to lay more eggs. You could kinda see the shriekers as a pupa/cocoon state,just a lot more aggressive and mobile.

I have a video game confession. The final boss of FF7 for me was the Chocobo breeding minigame. I got the Golden Chocobo, cast Knights of the Round once, and never played again. I just love breeding minigames. Don't even get me started about Dragon Warrior Monsters.

Finally got to play the very first Session of my forever planned Homeworld TTRPG Campaign, with @runic.bsky.social His Character Aurey Rode the Lightning, by Piloting a converted Arrow Scout, as part of the doomed branch of the Blade Interceptor development. Super Fun!

The LEDs I got for miniature photography were brutally harsh so with the power of magic, duct tape, and some wire hangers I made some attachable diffusers. Really exciting and motivating to get all this set up and be able to share fun stuff.

As a general rule of fantasy naming, the closer to the back half of the alphabet the average letter in their name is, the eviller they are. A name that doesn't contain any consonants north of R is poison frog colouration. If it uses Y as a vowel in a non-terminal position you're basically fucked.

At my table, two major things: - I let my players work during journeys. What are you doing in camp or during the long days in the bowels of a ship? - It's prime time for any NPCs around to have Thoughts and Feelings and want to share them with the party - or just let the players chat! #ttrpg

No matter what level a #ttrpg campaign finishes as a coda I like to invite the players to level to max and play a high level dungeon/mini campaign, e.g. Wrath of the Lich Queen for 5e because I've done the conversion and it's my OG fav. One group even took the opportunity to do new "endgame" minis.

#SwordWorld is the superior #ttrpg to #DnD because its fantasy is so much easier to achieve. Many games include neither a Dungeon nor Dragon, while every game is almost certain to include a World and any number of Swords. #sw25 🗡️🌏
