I have actually used Skaven inspired aberration creatures in my DnD campaign. The endless hoards are perfect, And whilst I am usually low magic, I am a fan of "these little gremlin like creatures made a nuclear reactor" trope. Skaven are just fun in a dark kind of way. Loads of fun.
