The problem with selling a physical comic online is that the art form has such little value. A painter/illustrator can sell a print of a single image for $100 easily but if you sell a comic which took far more labor for more than $5 people explode. Because people view comics as disposable.

Yesterday I had a guy insult my art and then ask me to hire him. Full on negged me and then asked me to pay him do draw my books. He did so while providing to link to his own art. Worst first impression he could have possibly made. I had a great laugh while deleting his comment.

Getting a watch cut my screen time way down. Every time I look at it I marvel and the amazing things people can create. It wasn’t expensive and it will outlast the phone I’m typing this on. Plus watches have stories and I love a story.

For me right now, success is being able to tell my stories (short, long, OGN, vertical scroll) and building a readership interested in following me along the way. I think further in my career that answer will evolve. Every finished comic is a success in my eyes.
