Being scolded by Pete Buttigieg, who coordinated dropping out of the democratic primary, as ordered by the dems, so Bernie wouldn’t clinch it, has alienated me. I can put up with Mayo Pete to a point. But when he sobs in his milquetoast about leftists disappointed in their “leaders,” he can F off.

Isn’t it telling that so many are decrying “political violence” and not all violence? What this sounds like: I don’t like political violence because it might affect me instead of just minorities & people in other places I never see. States’ monopoly of violence is also political. Decry that, too.

I find myself frustrated by the distinction between political violence and every other kind of violence. Like, bro, if you’re gonna kill me, make it because of my waistline or my level of education, not because I am a powerful elite capable of, and advocating for, genocide. No, THAT’S fucked up. ?

So strange to me that most “normal” people are SO against violence today, but are SO pro-violence when it defends “the law” or “our interests” when both of those things are just euphemisms for “the rich.” Like, if you’re against violence, great. Be against violence from soldiers and cops, too.

The only crazy thing to me is that people keep expecting all of these leaders and institutions that exist under, and at the whim of, capitalism to all of a sudden undermine it when actually confronted. The halls of power don’t actually change and their messaging during crisis is who they really are.
