Alright! Finally making some progress on our Penultimate Dragonbane Actual play episode after the nightmare of losing a SSD drive. I've recorded a bunch of new sounds and tweaked a lot of the automation. The GREEN and BLUE regions are FX I still have to source or record and I still need ambiences.

12 years ago, I designed my first RPG book: Symbaroum. For the new edition, I was asked to revisit the graphic design and update it. The design goals included accommodating more text while adding spaciousness, switching some typefaces, and generally adding some atmosphere. And killing some darlings.

Thankfully I managed to be only slightly weird.

Just had a great interview with Andrew Gaska. We talked to him 3 years ago and it was nice to catch up. We spent most of the time talking about Planet of the Apes. The movies, TV shows and the books & RPG he wrote.

Between 2 external drives and Google Drive I was able to piece back together all of the video and dialogue tracks that were on my dead SSD. Thankfully I had a copy of the reaper Project file, so all of my cuts, regions and markers are all saved. I still have to redo my denoising and re-record my fx.

IT KEEPS HAPPENING.

RIP my project SSD. 😤 Back up your files kids! I have a backup of my Dragonbane Reaper project file and all of the original dialogue recordings but I’ll have to clean those up again and re-record some of my sound fx. Had to happen when I was nearly done with the last 2 episodes.
