While there were enough cool moments to make the opening ceremonies worth watching (no spoilers, in case anyone recorded them), the sheer amount of ads was excessive. Totally took me out of the experience. They'd go to a full break, come back for maybe 2 minutes, if that, then do split screen ads.

I just saw one where a woman posted about the biodegradable tea cup she had received, saying she couldn't figure out how to fold the flaps and be able to drink it properly. She included photos.
