Another mindfuck is realizing that decision about some aspect of a massive company. There wasn't some process or jury. There's just Some Person that decided most of it. And when that person is you, you get it. People come and think a choice was some huge deliberation. It wasn't. You just... decided.

This looks far to shiny and new to be fitting to this very well used Massey 550 scraper tractor. It's only in for a new engine and king pins rebuilding but going do something about that cab now

Just got lucky with this year's car tax expiring just before they start taxing EV's in April. It was good while it lasted, still saving over £1,300 a year vs what I was paying in diesel. Only an other 4 years untill the Land Rover is over 40 years old and becomes tax exempt

Had a trip up to Aberdeen this weekend. EV charging infrastructure in the UK has improved a lot since last year! With the exception of Hamilton services in Glasgow every services had multiple chargers installed with plenty available. Even used the fancy hydrogen fuel cell chargers at Cairn Lodge.

I planned to spend this evening doing Christmas shopping, what I actually did was get totally distracted,learn about Celtic Rainforests, then spend several hours planning walks in Coed Felenrhyd & Llennyrch and Coed Cadair up to the summit of Cadair Idris.

I might be getting a little carried away with rebuilding this tractor engine now. Even broke out the Glyptal paint for the head! Shame its going back in to an absolutely knackered Massey 550 yard scraper. I'm amazed that I was still able to buy a brand new engine block for a 1970's tractor!

Cleaning the kitchen this morning and I'm still finding remains of cake batter from when I dropped the running electric whisk XD How the hell did it end up on the ceiling the other side of the room!!

This is the third time in 7 days that I have been stuck on the same section of motorway. 4 hours at a standstill still on Wednesday, 2 hours stood still on Friday.... And today who knows yet. The driving standard in the UK is absolutely appalling lately ;v;

Didn't think I'd be seeing the inside of this engine quite so soon after a rebuild. Left it idling and the stupid thing ran away on me after the turbo failed and filled the intake with oil, managed to jump in and stall it before it put a rod in to orbit bit still did quite some damage ;v;

Arrived at Scotiacon! Just a matter of remembering how to be sociable birb again. It's been sooo long.

Well, I never thought I'd be rolling this car over quarter of a million miles! Only had 50k on the clock when I brought it. I'm impressed with the longevity of the mid 2000's duratorq diesel. Sadly it's will eventually be priced off the road by ULEZ charges and increasing road tax.

I've got a Mercedes EQ rental car while working over in Germany. I'm honestly not sure if I'm driving a car or someone's gaming PC there is that much LED lighting going on here!!
