Welcome to all the new people joining! š Iām a public transportation engineer who thinks critically about what car-centric public spaces really mean for our cities, our pocketbooks, and our planet. I regularly share articles about transportation urbanism and stories from my local advocacy work.

We biked to hockey today almost entirely on all ages and abilities infrastructure. And then brought our bikes on the train back home because kiddo was tired after his games. This is what having good quality transportation options is all about!

We don't need chain stores and car-oriented corporations dominating our cities. We need neighborhoods that are small, local, and personal. When we finally move past the era of car dependency, this is what the future of sustainability looks like.

Do YOU have an aging friend/relative who should stop driving? Tell them this story from San Francisco. Ask how they will feel if they kill an entire family. But don't tell them that even then, they'll be forgiven and be able to drive again. This verdict is obscene.

Cities arenāt places, but rather collections of people. And the people of Kalamazoo are amazing. ā no rezoning of natural space for another car wash ā no harassment of our friends and neighbors Not this time, not ever.

A new fleet of 8 being prepped for service. These workhorses will be racking up tens of thousands of kilometers throughout their lifespan, saving the company substantial sums of $, all while also being eco-friendly. Can't wait to see them once they've been outfitted with new livery.

When countless cities are suffering from a massive housing shortage, keeping existing urban golf courses in place is indefensible. Seen here, the hole-in-one is transformed into housing, with the next phase of denser development on the right side set to begin in 2026. Carmel, IN

We all say we want the street on the left, but the street on the right is the receipt for our online shopping habits. You can't have Amazon convenience and Main Street charm. Corporate convenience shopping will cannibalize small businesses commerce.

The goal of good infrastructure is freedom from fear. At 6 months pregnant, my wife can ride because this physically separated path eliminates the threat of motorists. āThis is what women in advocacy fight for, not just paint, but genuinely safe, forgiving spaces that enable true mobility choice.
