almost every png i use anywhere is ran through oxipng first and if whatever i'm using supports it, i use webp or avif but avif is rare choice. if i want to use a small gif and they support animated pngs, i use maxst's gif2apng; trying to use animated webp or avifs for that has been difficult sadly.
