Just started a new quarter of the book club elective class I teach, and during introductions two students said this was their second class with me and one student said it was his third. Sometimes I question how well I do these, but these students help affirm that I must be doing something right 😊

I called my local CVS this morning to book my #COVID vaccine and #Flu vaccine shots. I was simply asked if I qualify and answered yes. No further details or prescription was requested. My appointment is made. The shots will be available in the pharmacy September 4th.

Took a little trip to see a close friend of mine I’ve known since high school, had lunch with my undergrad mentors while in town, and made a lot of progress on my audiobook driving there and back. Needless to say, it was a pretty good weekend 😌

The weather only affects my job once a week when I have to go outside to bring a cart full of books from one part of our grounds to the other. It takes maybe an hour tops. Of course that is also precisely when it threatens to rain. 📚📜
