It is a real problem—& a very hard one to resolve—that someone committing an act of violence can so easily implicate any political faction with the use of certain language or imagery, whether sincerely, ironically, or deceptively.

At some point people need to learn that the poverty rate is mostly about the safety net or lack thereof and not the economy. The economy was doing historically well, real wages rising for the first time in decades, etc. And poverty rose because pandemic safety policies expired.

As acts of political or social violence have become a form of content to be consumed by an audience, one of the standard failings of American media literacy has taken hold in that the audience who chooses their sainted killer is read as said actor being ascribed to that audience's stated ideology.
