I hate recapping game gears. I spent hours trying to figure out why it was restarting itself when pressing buttons. I knew it was a bad joint or a short around the caps. I had to redo every one, and it was the one in a lower corner that was bad. This was after struggling with ones near the buttons

Game Gear sound boards are the absolute worst. This poor board is currently taking a vinegar bath.

I was baffled as to why my VCF video was getting thousands of hits out of nowhere from "YouTube Advertising." Apparently random people can just... use your video as an ad? After doing some research it turns out you have to OPT OUT of people being able to use your videos as ads? Insane.

I finished up the subtitles last night for the VCFMW video. YouTube's subtitle editor is the right amount of complexity for me but it has so much friction that I swear I lose hours in the process. Not to mention its auto-timing is lousy, but it's so close to being good. That's what's infuriating.

Restored the Vaio last night. Cleaned up really well! Now to be on the lookout for matching accessories.

Field stripped and cleaned the Vaio. Boots up to a very messy Windows XP. One of the optical drives is dead and the bezel cover has a missing clip (likely broken from some kid). Unfortunately it fits on none of my replacement drive trays! Thankfully the restore discs are available.

I discovered this poor Vaio in a trash barrel. But had I not seen the top lid on a shelf I wouldn’t have looked. It’s now in one piece and rescued from the thrift store.

600+ clips later, the rough edit is complete. Now it's time for grading, titles, musical score, and a few missing screenshot scrolls.
