After seeing Mandalorian and Grogu, my thought is “I wasn’t expecting them to adapt the Rotta the Hutt arc from the manga, but they did a good job despite cutting out one of the volumes.” Cause that’s what the movie is; the Star Wars version of making a manga arc movie. And that’s not a bad thing!

We worked through all of Lodoss War last year (I hadn’t seen it since the 90s and my girlfriend had never seen it at all). It’s got rough edges, it’s not perfect, but that’s what makes it so great.

The A99ii still continues to hold reasonable value. Nearly ten year old camera for a dead mount and it still goes for $1699 in decent shape on fleabay. That’s half of a new A7 V there. I think it’s time for me to sell, even though I would hate selling it because it’s a truly great camera.

I never pegged counterfeit calculators as a problem but apparently they’re so prevalent that Casio made this charming little advertorial video showing how to check if a calculator is the genuine article. The VO/animation is so adorable in its simplicity.

Wow, check this out: an LGR viewer found screenshots for the (presumably) cancelled SimAnt Enhanced CD-ROM for DOS PCs! They found the images on an Interplay press kit they had years ago. First time these screens have been posted online, far as I can tell!
