I've got to believe that when the casting director for Fullmetal Alchemist saw a drawing of Major Alex Armstrong they said "Get me Tony the Tiger" and the room nodded in agreement

(Thread) Here’s some more stuff from yesterday’s Maynard retro computer meetup. There were about a dozen exhibits with a great variety of systems. First is a C64 ultimate. These things are the real deal. if you love the C64 and have the scratch to buy one you won’t be disappointed.

Saved this classic Hallmark Star Trek USS Enterprise D ornament from a Half-price Books during VCF. Needed to swap the bulb connector but it lights up perfectly. TBH the neatest detail is the bridge nav light.

Recently did a Lodoss War rewatch with my girlfriend (both OVA and the series). Seeing it with older eyes showed me just how influential it was on things I saw later but couldn’t connect when I was a teen.

It’s hard drive heaven here at the Savers, with a SCSI caddy system loaded with one of those thick old Fujitsu drives. Also three IBM SCSI drives, a seagate ATA, and a bonus Bigfoot. Is the Bigfoot DOA? Taking all bets here on hard drive roulette!

I don't know if people will connect with the premise of this video but it's been in the works for so long that I feel like I have to get it out
