Boog used the phrase “when he’s on, he’s nasty” earlier, one of my favorite nonsense baseball phrases because it quietly implies that when a guy isn’t “on” it’s just a complete shitshow.

You can tell the Cubs are an actual major league franchise (in the abstract) because the Jackie Robinson blue block no. 42 looks natural on either of their primary jerseys. Compare that to teams like the Dbacks, the Rays, the Marlins, the Rockies, the Nationals, and so on.

I think that counts as a win.
