Fantastic day at MathsFest today!! All presenters were amazing. Added bonus, two of our Bilborough students won Maths Slam, so proud 🥳🥳🥳

Silverstone was a great first stop on our two day A Level Maths trip! Next today is pizza express and Back to the Future Musical, tomorrow MathsFest!!

#WeeklyWins I set revision cover for my year 12 FM class (thanks @drbennison.bsky.social for the revision clock/videos). They were free to do the work wherever they liked. One of the students sent me some photos of lots of them working in the classroom together ‘locked in’ using the big whiteboards

Every year I play the Mcfly song ‘it’s all about you’ when I teach integration by substitution, so I loved that they remembered it in this card! I also love the Toucan-Newton substitution!! 🦜🍎 #ALevelMaths

In #ALevelMaths #MathsToday (yesterday) I was excited to use @catrionaagg.bsky.social amazing intro to normal distribution ‘fill in the blanks’ worksheet with my year 13s. It reinforced the need to draw the diagram, to understand the sd and mean and what we are calculating with the probabilities! 😊

#MathsToday #ALevelMaths This morning year 12 were inspired at the Maths Inspiration Show in Nottingham. Really interesting talks from @alisonkiddle.bsky.social @mscroggs.co.uk and Colin Wright. Hosted by Sammie Buzzard, all 4 have really cool jobs!!

Snow day for my college ❄️ (not for my two children though who are gutted that their school is open! I’m sure they’ll take concerns to the headteacher, who just happens to be their dad 🤣)

In #mathstoday #alevelmaths I showed the students how to complete the square of a quadratic to get the quadratic formula. Then I wrote BOOM at the end and I loved it!! I stole it from someone on here so thank you!! 💥
