Thank you! It’s set in 1910s Britain, so the weavers are likely to be 3rd generation urban families, so the story doesn’t really engage with the beginnings of industrialisation. The book was written contemporaneously by a Lancashire weaver, our graphic novel is an adaptation of that authentic story.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that George Orwell was one of the greatest writers, yet anyone quoting him online tends to be an unappealing character who has misunderstood his politics. However…
