it's destroying communities. not in the abstract "it's bad for the environment" sense, in the literally observable immediate sense. usage of it is tantamount to violence against your own neighbors, and it should be treated as the antisocial behavior that it actually is

actually i kinda *do* think using genAI should be such a social faux pas that the user is marked as a pariah and no longer feels welcome in the community. "AI is bad" is no longer an abstract (it never was), my city has been under a boil water advisory for a week because of AI data centers

I just really really like the first game. The rest I could take or leave. But the simplicity of the original KH left a lot of room for wonder and mystery that's since been dispelled by the need to explain every single bit of that universe and I don't think that's always a good thing

folx, I’ve been working on AI "ethics" for almost a decade now & hate to tell you there’s no such thing as "ethical AI" the only "ethical principle" that works is regulating the shit out of the industry & to take back control of our autonomy, fundamental rights, freedoms & right to exist w/out AI

Here’s why I find the argument that AI could be a disability aid insulting. I got really, really sick in 2022. Been disabled my whole life, but 2020 was when things started becoming impossible and 2022 yanked them all away. I carved a writing practice out of nothing. Every word was pain.
