Despite working out regularly, using my arms as breaks a few times yesterday to prevent crashes into a tree or sliding into a frozen pond (that was not solidly frozen in places) has left me rather sore. This feels like a betrayal by my musculature rather than a predictable outcome of poor choices

For those of us who pay quarterly taxes or any other payment by December 31, this unheralded change in postal policy can bite you in the butt. This could have other unforeseen consequences (e.g., mail-in balloting), but for now, this is more timely.

How I'm walking out of 2025.

Doubled up my workouts today and I think they should give free tacos to anyone who does that. You finish the second workout and boom, you get tacos.

We need to face reality. Unless there’s ample warning, we will not be able to safely evacuate everyone from any East Bay hills area if everyone is in their own vehicle. We need to plan for carpools and for those who are able to evacuate by biking or walking.
