Help wanted. Can anyone identify the clothing worn by the young woman in this portrait photo by W.T. Furniss who is buried at Wardsend. It looks like work wear e.g. munitions worker (the period is right) but the scarf/neckerchief and fascinator(?) are a bit of a puzzle.

Well, I think that went pretty well. Both the choir, and my solo. Sure, bits I could improve - not least by not being on the verge of cracking up at the end. I'm no great singer. But, for me, I think I should be happy. I did White Wine in the Sun, fwiw. Which is beautiful.

Out tonight to see Carlos Alomar, George Murray, Kevin Armstrong, Tal Bergman and more doing Bowie '76-'80. Lead singer was Cunio. Very strong, and at least a three octave range. Keys was Axel Tosca. He did a solo that sounded to me like a romantic classical piece. Can anyone tell me?
