Kdramas are the perfect knitting tv. I never have to stop and go back because I was looking at my knitting and missed something. They always repeat the important stuff so if I miss it the first time, I’ll catch it in slo-mo soon enough.

It’s such a constrained view of masculinity. Makes be sad for them in some ways, but makes me very sad for my daughter and her friends heading into the world that these dudes just don’t seem to be willing to grow.

This is how we’ve been watching and it’s been great. The hosts are charming and my mediocre high school Spanish means I can kinda follow what they’re saying but I don’t try too hard. I just let it wash over me and it’s fun. I think not being a control freak helps too.

A beautiful day on the Pere Marquette River in Michigan. Just stunningly gorgeous. But after TEARS of not tipping my daughter and I tipped twice. The water is COLD but we are fine except for a few scrapes from sunken trees. Fun fun fun.

In the 90s a group of friends that had just graduated from high school took a canoe trip in Michigan. They continued it for years until everyone had too many kids to continue. We are back from all over the country and here are our kids entertaining us with a volleyball game.

Did not have buying a new car on our radar this summer but another driver made that decision for us this morning - everybody is fine.
