If you look at cults that lose their leaders, it's always the same story. Infighting between underlings, questioning of dogma by members, a loss of financial backing, and a bleeding of followers. The ones that need cult leadership will find it elsewhere, but the powerful majority is gone forever.

This is not a cult of party. This is a personality cult of a single individual. It's not the party name we see on trucks, shirts, flags, and banners. Party men knew it was always tenuous, and that's why all the terrible legislation has been rushed through so fast. The energy will turn listless, die.

Remember, when a cult leader dies, the cult doesn't disappear. It fragments. The high-ranking members under the leader will have their own supporters, but none have the majority, and without majority rule, the smaller factions can not retain control.
