2026 Movie Year started off with a bang, 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE was incredible, a perfect movie, a terrifying performance from Jack O’Connell, and an Oscar caliber performance from Ralph Fiennes! Nia DeCosta is a great director and Alex Garland continues his hot streak

BANSHEE on HBO MAX (Originally aired on CINEMAX) is terrific, the great ANTONY STARR from THE BOYS is the lead of the show

Best part of the new year is going through my bookshelf to see what’s in here, I have a bunch of @juddwinick.bsky.social DC Trade paperbacks and their the freaking best (Green Lantern, Green Arrow, Batman, and The Outsiders) Judd wrote some of the best DC Comics ever he’s awesome

ABSOLUTE SUPERMAN is my favorite Superman book in a very long time, each issue gets better and better. I’ve been a big @jason-aaron.bsky.social fan since I’ve gotten into comics and his name immediately makes me read anything. He’s doing a great job! Shout out to Rafa Sandoval for crushing it too!

@danpgwatters.bsky.social and Dexter Soy’s NIGHTWING has been terrific, they’ve been knocking every issue out of the park, Dexter brings a Scott McDaniel style to the book which makes me think of the classic Nightwing title

@kellysue.bsky.social writes some great comics, I just discovered her OSBORN: EVIL INCARCERATED TPB over the Holiday Break and I blitzed through it, it’s fantastic, great artwork from Emma Rios and @mckelvie.bsky.social

Absolute Batman is a totally different vibe from @ssnyder1835.bsky.social and @nickdragotta.bsky.social , I like how different it is from Scott’s other Batman work, it’s my favorite Scott Snyder Batman comic ever, every issue kicks ass and takes names

Absolute Superman has been Special, @jason-aaron.bsky.social Rafa Sandoval, Carmine Di Giandomenico, and soon to be superstar Juan Ferryra, have been doing career work, it’s the best Superman book on the stands

2025 has been the year of DC Comics, everything they put out this year has been Good/Great/Peak, they have the best talent on the best books

@jason-aaron.bsky.social is doing AMAZING work on this title, this book has been phenomenal; Jason has always been one of my all time favorite writers and he’s currently delivering the best Superman title on the stands

I saw and enjoyed Highest 2 Lowest a lot. It will be on Apple TV in a few weeks but…this is a collaboration between one of the all-time great directing and acting duos (Spike Lee and Denzel Washington) try to see it on the big screen.

This was one of the most important X-Men comics to me when it was coming out, The Stuart Immonen art with the Marte Gracia colors were incredible. Brian, along with Alias; this is my favorite thing you’ve done, thank you for this incredible work
